College Transcript & Diploma Apostilles

College transcript and diploma apostilles

For graduates taking a Delaware degree abroad. Sealed transcripts, diplomas and degree verifications authenticated by the Secretary of State, usually inside the same week.

Graduating from a Delaware institution

If your degree was awarded in Delaware, the Delaware Secretary of State is the only authority that can apostille it. That covers graduates of the University of Delaware, Delaware State University, Wilmington University, Goldey-Beacom College, Delaware Technical Community College and the Delaware College of Art and Design.

We are not affiliated with any of them. We are simply the closest route between a sealed transcript and the counter that authenticates it.

For international graduates

  • Employment abroad. Ministries of education and overseas employers usually want the degree authenticated, not just a copy.
  • Further study. Postgraduate admissions in Europe, Asia and the Gulf commonly require an apostilled transcript and diploma together.
  • Professional licensing. Engineering, nursing, teaching and accountancy boards abroad frequently require it.
  • Visa and residency files. Skilled-worker routes often ask for an authenticated qualification as part of the evidence bundle.

If you are leaving the country soon, start this before you go. Authenticating a Delaware document from overseas is far harder than doing it while you are still here.

What to bring us

Ask your registrar for an official sealed transcript and leave the envelope sealed. Opening it usually voids it for this purpose. A diploma needs to be either the original or a copy notarised as a true copy, which we can do.

Some registrars will send the transcript directly to us on your instruction, which avoids the sealed-envelope problem entirely. Tell us which institution and we will confirm what they accept.

Tell us the destination country at the start. It decides whether you need an apostille or consular legalisation, and whether a translation has to travel with the document.

Three ways to get your documents to us

Order and pay first, then get your documents to us whichever way suits you. Your order number ties the two together, so nothing goes astray.

1. Post them to us

Leave a sealed transcript envelope sealed — opening it usually voids it. Write your order number on the outside of the package.

2. Have your registrar send them straight to us

If you have not ordered your transcript yet, this is the cleanest route. When your university asks where to send it, give them the address above and put your own name in the recipient field so we can match it to your order. The sealed-envelope problem disappears entirely.

Tell us which institution on the intake form and we will confirm what they accept before you pay them a records fee.

3. Drop them at the Dover office

Walk in during business hours or book a time. The office is minutes from the Secretary of State counter on Federal Street.

More than five documents, or a country that needs consular legalisation rather than an apostille? Call 302-505-1459 and we will quote it before you pay.

After you pay, send us your files

Paying takes thirty seconds. The next step is a short form that tells us where your documents are going and what you already have in hand.

Upload a scan or a phone photo of your transcript, diploma or the requirements letter from the receiving university, employer or ministry. We check it qualifies before your originals are in the post, which is where most delays come from. If your transcript envelope is sealed, do not open it to scan — photograph the outside instead.

You will need your order number from the confirmation email. The same form captures the address we post your completed documents back to.
