This is retirement-community country, and it shows in what we are asked to notarise: wills, durable powers of attorney, advance health care directives and trust documents.
We come to the house, the clubhouse or the care facility, and we are used to appointments where a signer tires quickly or needs a family member present. A notary cannot tell you what to sign or draft the document for you, but we can confirm that identification is in order and that every signature and witness the document requires is properly taken.
