What we collect, why we have it, and how long we keep it — including the sensitive categories our work involves.
Last updated 26 September 2026.
Delaware Mobile Signings LLC is a Delaware limited liability company providing notarial, apostille, registered agent, fingerprinting and DOT compliance services. This policy explains what information we hold about you, why we have it, and how long we keep it.
Our work involves some genuinely sensitive information — identity documents, fingerprints, recorded notarization sessions and drug testing paperwork. Those are dealt with separately below, because the ordinary rules are not sufficient for them.

We collect only what a job requires. We do not buy personal information from data brokers and we do not sell yours.
| What we collect | Why we have it |
|---|---|
| Name, email, telephone and postal address | To book and confirm your appointment, to reach you about it, and to invoice you. |
| Appointment details you give us | The service, date, place, and anything you tell us about the document, including whether it is going abroad and to which country. That last point changes how the signing has to be done. |
| The kind of identification you present | A notary must be satisfied of your identity. We record what was relied on so the act can be evidenced later. |
| Details of the entity you represent | For registered agent, apostille and BOC-3 work we need the entity name, file number and the statutory communications contact. |
| Payment details | Handled by our payment processor. See Payments below. |
| Correspondence with us | So that whoever picks up your file can see what was already agreed. |
| Basic website analytics | To understand which pages are useful. See Cookies below. |
Four parts of our work involve information that deserves particular care.
We inspect your identification at the appointment and record what we relied on. We do not keep a photocopy or scan of your identification unless the platform used for a remote notarization captures one, or the party requesting the notarization requires it. Where a copy is held, it is kept only as long as the record of the act requires.
A remote online notarization is conducted on a third-party notarization platform, which performs identity checks and records the session in audio and video. That recording, and the identity verification results, are retained as the rules for remote notarization require. A recording is released only to you, to a party legally entitled to it, or in response to lawful process.
We take ink fingerprints and produce a completed card. The card is released to you, or sent to the agency you name. We do not run the background check ourselves and we do not receive its result. We do not retain your fingerprint images once the card has been released.
We are a qualified urine specimen collector under 49 CFR Part 40. Our role is limited to collecting the specimen and completing the federal custody and control form. The specimen goes to a certified laboratory; results are reported to your employer’s designated representative and, where applicable, a medical review officer.
We do not test the specimen, we do not receive or interpret your result, we are not a medical review officer, and we do not make entries in the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Collection information is handled under the confidentiality rules of 49 CFR Part 40 and is not disclosed to anyone that regulation does not permit.
If you give us a telephone number and submit a form, you consent to be contacted by SMS text message about your booking. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of further messaging, or HELP for assistance.
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party for any purpose.
Opting out of text messages does not cancel your appointment. We will reach you by telephone or email instead.
Card payments are processed by our payment provider through a secure checkout. We never see or store your full card number. We retain a record of what was charged, when, and the last four digits, so we can answer a query about the charge or issue a refund.
Where a surcharge applies to a payment, it is shown to you as a separate itemised line before you are asked to confirm, never folded into the price.
We also accept money orders, cashier’s cheques and personal or business cheques made payable to Delaware Mobile Signings.
We share what a job requires, and nothing beyond it.

Isabela is an AI assistant available on our translation pages. She is provided by Jotform, the service that also hosts our translation order form.
What you type to her is sent to Jotform and the AI provider behind it in order to generate a reply, and the conversation is recorded. Jotform shows you that notice before you begin.
Please do not type card numbers, government identification numbers or anything else you would not put in an ordinary email. If you need to send us a document, use the order form or email, both of which are built for it.
Isabela can help with languages, document types, pricing and turnaround. She is not a notary and she cannot give legal advice. Anything that needs judgement should go to a person — book a consultation or call the Dover desk on 302-505-1459.
| Record | Retention |
|---|---|
| Record of a notarial act | For as long as Delaware law requires records of notarial acts to be kept, and never less. |
| Remote session recording and identity results | Retained on the notarization platform for the period the rules for remote notarization require. |
| Copies of identification | Only where a platform or requesting party requires one, and only for as long as the record of the act requires. |
| Fingerprint images | Not retained once the completed card is released. |
| DOT collection paperwork | For the periods set by 49 CFR Part 40. |
| Apostille and registered agent order files | Three years, so we can evidence or reissue the order. |
| Statutory communications contact records | For as long as we act as your registered agent, and afterwards as Delaware law requires. |
| Invoices and payment records | Seven years, for tax and accounting. |
| Marketing email list | Until you unsubscribe. |
This site sets cookies that are necessary for it to work — keeping you logged in, remembering the contents of a cart, and securing forms against abuse. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
We also use basic analytics to see which pages are read and where visitors arrive from. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though a booking form may be less convenient.
We do not run advertising trackers and we do not build advertising profiles.
Write to us at notary@delawaremobilesignings.com and you may ask us to:
We will respond within 30 days. One limit is worth stating plainly: we cannot delete the record of a notarial act, a recorded remote session, a registered agent filing, or DOT collection paperwork while the law requires us to keep it. Asking us to delete those does not oblige us to break that duty.
Our services are for adults, and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from a child. Where a minor is a signer or the subject of a record we obtain, we deal with their parent or guardian.
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will try to put it right. Telephone the Dover desk on 302-505-1459 or email notary@delawaremobilesignings.com.
